The Angus Diaries - August 2005
Another month where the schools were on
holiday and there were many walks out with the family, trying to make
the best of the weather. Angus, of course, is unstoppable - his
favourite place is up on the fells. Here is a selection of all new
'out-takes' from the August Angus diary....

The faithful friend on Irton Pike - nice photo Connie!

Connie has got her eyes closed, Daniel is pointing at
something else, so I can exit stage right...

This big cairn on Swirl How looks scary!

Trying to get a peek over the wall on the way from The
Hoad.

A dip in Elterwater, the Langdale Pikes behind.

Helping Connie with sandcastles at Roanhead with the Lake
District fells across the Duddon Sands.

Having a great gallop on Latterbarrow, chasing birds and
butterflies, the Coniston fells in the background.

A well deserved rest on Yewbarrow.

You can get three onto one stepping stone across the
River Duddon - and no, I can't swim across!

Well done Connie - you've made it to the summit of Cat
Bells.
