Latterbarrow (OF)
from Colthouse
Weather: Clear and cold, gradually
clouding. 5oC.
Yet again it was cold and clear this
morning, but I only had time for a short walk today. The mist was
hanging over Coniston Water and the Crake Valley with pockets of cloud
in some of the smaller valleys - I couldn't resist driving up the east
side of Coniston Water for these first few photos.

Eerie mist hanging over Coniston Water.

Autumn reflections.

Looking along the jetty to Peel Island and Beacon
Fell.

Reflections of the Coniston fells in Coniston Water.
Then it was over to Tarn Hows, amazingly still and
clear today with superb reflections...

Tarn Hows.

Wetherlam from Tarn Hows.
Then it was over to Hawkshead - I could see Esthwaite
Water was under inversion cover but there were no real vantage points so
I had a walk up to Latterbarrow.

Red Screes and the eastern fells from Latterbarrow.

The Coniston fells.

Angus.

The summit obelisk on Latterbarrow.

Last but not least, Casper.
